I've learned to add more than one picture

After looking at that other guy's blog I decided it would be a good idea to learn to add more than one picture to a single posting. It's kind of like a story. Here's my Saturday morning.

I was awakened this morning by the sound of jackhammers and heavy machinery. It was 7:30 am. I layed in bed hoping it would stop but at 8:30 I gave up and decided to go to the gym. When I went outside I snapped this picture of the noise polluters. I guess 7:30 am is a good time to tear up a street. If you enlarge the picture you'll see a guy on the left looking at me. After I took the picture I heard lots of yelling. I think he was upset that I took this picture, but I played the part of the ignorant foreigner. I gave him a blank stare and turned to continue my walk to the gym.

Since my usual path to the gym was being ripped apart I had to go through this alley. It might look terrible but it's a comparatively nice alley (meaning you can still walk through it). Nicole has to walk through this anytime she wants to go to town. She does a lot of stuff very late at night and has told me horror stories about this alley after midnight. Most of the stories include highly intoxicated men urinating, vomitting, or most likely passed out.

This is a vegetable garden for a restaurant. Gardens like this are all over town. This one is one of the nicer ones because the garbage isn't mixed in with the plants. It's better not to think about where restaurant vegetables come from when you're eating out.

This is a sidwalk that is about 100 meters from my apartment. It looked so clean, and with all the fall colors I thought this really looked nice. Walking along the sidewalk it smelled like Bishop during Thanksgiving and I was hit with some nostalgia. Then the traffic came and I was hit with smell of cars that badly need to be through a smog check.

I have one short story about the gym. I was laying on a bench doing the bench press when I heard some very loud clapping. I stopped my workout, stood up, and went looking for the person who was clapping so loud. I found him walking on a treadmill. I looked around at the other people in the gym and no one else found this guy as fascinating as I did. He was clapping what sounded like a college sports fight song. No one else even gave this guy a look, but I was dumbfounded. I stood and stared though the entire song. Towards the end of the song the pace got very fast. The finalle was was lots of rapid clapping, then one extra loud clap, then one very dramatic motion to increase the speed on the treadmill to a run. This guy really knows how to get ready for a jog.
