New teacher at work

One of the Korean teachers quit recently because she wanted a vacation. Yes, that's right, if a Korean English teacher wants to take any time off they have to quit. So while my former coworker takes her first vacation in 3 years, I get to work with a new teacher. This teacher, Joy, is awesome. She doesn't speak any Korean in class and the kids are terrified of her because of that. They avoid her like they avoid toothpaste, manners, and the Japanese.

Joy is going to marry her boyfriend of eight years sometime next year. This is her first boyfriend and she has been thinking that it may be a mistake to only have one relationship before getting married. So how did she address this concern? She did the proper thing and spoke to her boyfriend about her worries...just kidding. She went to see a tarot card reader to ask for guidance. The tarot lady told her she would have an "okay" marriage. Joy thinks she got ripped-off.
