Ohori Park
This place is called Ohori Park. There isn't any place like this in Ulsan, so I went to this park everyday I was in Japan. There is a lake with paths for walkers, runners, and bikers to exercise. It was so clean, and there were so many people outside just to relax. I also saw a huge difference in the parenting between the Japanese and Koreans. In Korea, parents don't treat their children with the kind of love and sensitivity that I am used to seeing given to little kids. Parents usually ignore their kids until they have to say something to them and it is often said pretty harshly. In Japan, I saw quite a few fathers teaching their kids to ride scooters or bikes. I also saw kids walking hand in hand with their parents. It reminded me of being in the US.
There is also a little stream that goes halfway around the lake. This waterfall is the beginnning.
Here are the three separate paths. I am standing on the walking path. You can see the runners on the running path. And there is a bicycle rider on the biking path. This place was so nice.
