Salsa

I am not done posting pictures or stories of Japan, but I wanted to write this story before I forgot it.

I recently taught a lesson to one of my classes about food. We talked about meats, vegetables, fruits, breads, desserts, and snacks. We were using a book that had lots of examples for all groups of food. I would ask the students their favorite foods in each group, and everytime we got to snacks the students all said they liked chips and salsa. I thought this was weird because I never see salsa for sale here at the stores, and the kids would giggle whenever they said the word salsa.

Tonight, I found out that salsa means diarrhea in Korean. They kids had been telling me that their favorite snack is diarrhea and chips.
