Jaesun Got a Job
Jaesun has recently been offered a job to be a flight attendant with Emirates airlines. It has been very impressive to me to watch her get this job. She went to college and studied airline service and hospitality. Then she lived in Irvine for a while to study English which would allow her to work for an airline outside of Korea. After that, Jaesun has studied at an institute to help her get a job with an airline company. Since I have known her, she has studied every weekday for about five or six hours a day. Most of studying is how to make her English-only interview better than her competitors.
For this round of interviews there were over 3000 interviewees. And Jaesun was of the 50 that were selected. One out of sixty. This is a very prestigious job in Korea. It is such a competitive field and the pay is very high. This is a great opportunity for her.
Jaesun will be signing a 3-year contract, and she will be moving to the Dubai, United Arab Emirates. And just everyone knows, even though a full scale war is imminent in the region, the UAE is extremely safe. Jaesun will be in no danger from the war.
And, because Jaesun will be leaving soon, and I decided I need to go back to California and see everybody. I will be going back to college to get my teaching credential. Right now, I don't see myself returning to Korea to teach, but things could change. Deep-Kimchi has been dying a slow death, and it looks like it will be officially over September 8. Sad.
If you would like to leave a message of congratulations to Jaesun please put it on the comments section. I'll make sure she gets them. And make sure to mention how you know me.
